About Me

Hello all and welcome! My name is Lauren and I'm the creator and owner of Lauren's Boookshelf. My pronouns are She/Hers. Just a little introduction about this blog before I get into more about myself...I created this blog way back when so that I could have a place to discuss books since it didn't seem like there were many book lovers around me in real life. Eventually, that spread to a bookstagram account under the same name! Now, I'm proud to say that I've been running both sites full-time for many years and having a blast.

As for me, I'm a 21-year old college student studying English: Creative Writing and minoring in Print and Digital Publishing. After graduating with my BA, I want to follow up with a Masters degree in either Creative Writing or Publishing. Upon finishing that, I would ideally like to work at a publishing house either in Editorial or Publicity/Marketing. While working, I want to continue to write and potentially publish my own works on the side.

Some of my favorite books include Sarah J. Maas's works, Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin, a lot of books by Jennifer L. Armentrout, the Daevabad trilogy by S.A. Chakraborty, books by Kerri Maniscalco,t he Empirium Trilogy by Claire Legrand, and so many others that you can find on my Goodreads Favorites Shelf. When I'm not reading, I love consuming stories in all different types of medium including theater productions, musicals, and TV shows. Some of my favorite shows include Teen Wolf, Bones, Psych, and so many others. In fact, I even did a blog post recommending some of my favorite tv shows.

You can find me on other social medias and websites at the following...
