Superbowl Weekend Read-A-Thon!

Hello guys! So this weekend is the Superbowl (a big deal in the USA). I personally have no interest in it this year as the Packers (my favorite team) are not playing. However, my family is throwing a Superbowl party, but I shall be reading during that time most likely.
That being said, I decided to challenge myself to finish the book I was reading AND read two more by the time I go to bed on Sunday. There's no other challenges and nobody else is participating with me, but I just wanted to challenge myself to this.

The three books I will be reading this weekend are...

Number 1: Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder.

By the time this post it up, I will have finished this book already. I am loving it!

Number 2: Steel by Carrie Vaughn.

The concept of this book is so cool and I've been wanting to read it for a while. It's short (280-something pages) so I decided to throw it in to up the challenge factor.

Number 3: The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater

I've been wanting to get to this since I finished book 1 in January. It finally arrived in the mail and I'm eager to dive into it.

Again, it may be a stretch to want to read THREE books in one weekend, but I think I can do it. Now...if you'll excuse me, I have some reading to get to.

This book was so good! I don't read a lot of contemporary, but when I do it's usually on Wattpad. I praise my favorite Wattpad author for going out and actually publishing her books (aka Ali Novak).

I loved this book, I really did. There were no love triangles--a common trope in YA Contemporary--and there was not a lot of unrealistic aspects involved. Of course, there were a couple small ones like being the only one in a coffee shop and meeting a rockstar, but nothing past those.

I really liked the characters. Each one was so different and had depth. I loved that. One of my favorites was JJ, who was legit amazing. He was such the supporting friendly type.

I am torn between wanting a sequel and wanting it to end here because the ending was what I wanted. I wasn't fully satisfied because it didn't happen the way I wanted it to, even though it happened.

I did really enjoy this book and do recommend it for those looking for light, fluffy reads that you can get through in a day or two.

Biblobsessed_Book Club Book of the month

It took a little while for this book to pick up, and not just the usual one or two chapters. It took me about 150-200 pages to really get fully invested in this book. I was hoping that it wasn't over-hyped and I would end up not liking it. My hopes paid off as I loved this book.

It was not my favorite book of all time, but I really enjoyed it. I was expecting them to be heisting a lot of money, not a person from a prison, but if you think about it, that's the same concept. I love heists so this book was amazing. I can't wait for the second book because the cliffhanger was epic. Such perfection.

The character growth in this book was on point. I loved watching characters grow and I loved getting to know everyone's past. My favorite would have to be Nina and Matthias's backstories, but I did enjoy Kaz's. My favorite characters are Kaz and Inej and I'm 100% on board the Knej ship! #forlife

The plot twists and surprises just kept coming. I don't know I was still being surprised and not expecting everything by the time I got to the last chapter, but it STILL happened. I loved the plot twists, most of them anyway.

All in all, this book was amazing. I'm very glad I didn't wait to read the Grisha trilogy before I picked this up. As it's been said before, you do NOT need to read the Grisha trilogy before reading this book.

I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the sequel (coming Fall 2016).
