This past year was one of many ups and downs. There were a lot of good moments (and good books) but I also look back at this year and mainly see the stress, anxiety, and exhausting moments. In terms of reading, I read 63 books this year. I'm pretty happy with that number, though I also know that if I'd had less stress in the last few months that I would have read even more than that.
Overall, I'm content with this reading year. I read more books than I did in 2021 and pulled myself out of the worst reading slump of my life. I finished eight series (though there were some rereads of series). But most importantly, I enjoyed the majority of the books I read. This year, I didn't have enough disappointing books to make a dedicated posts like I usually do. My average star rating was also the highest it's ever been since I started rating books. I attribute this to the fact I embraced being a mood reader and only read books I was really excited for.
