February 2020 Book Haul

Whereas my reading month for February was mediocre, my book haul for February is quite exciting! I picked up eight physical books this past month and I'm excited about most of them (two were textbooks for a class and, thus, won't be talked about here because they're boring). Let's go ahead and dive right in!

The first book I got this month was the Owlcrate exclusive edition of All the Tides of Fate by Adalyn Grace. This is the sequel to All the Stars and Teeth which I read last year and adored. This edition is not only signed, but it has a gorgeous purple cover that I couldn't resist! The regular pink one is pretty, but purple is my favorite color and I have a weakness for it. I haven't yet had the time to start this new release but I hope that, with the end of my undergrad career approaching, I'll have time to devote to this one come May! I've noticed I like nautical fantasies a lot in the summer and so I'm excited to have quite the lineup for this year.

The next book I got was an ARC of Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert. This is the third and final book in the Brown Sisters companion trilogy of romances and I'm so excited! I won a copy of this in a giveaway and I've been meaning to binge these books for a while. Now that I have all three (in varying formats), I can have a nice romance binge soon. I've heard nothing but great things about all of these books and I can't wait to curl up with a romcom. Spring season always makes me crave them for some reason.

Up next, I picked up a copy of the new hardcover of A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas. These books went through a cover change and, as the newer releases match the new covers, I wanted to have a matching set. I will say that, although I was hesitant when these were first announced, the new covers are stunning in person and have grown on me quite a bit. I can't wait to have bookshelves again to where I can display all of the different editions.

The next book I picked up was Stormbreak by Natalie C. Parker. I loved Seafire, the first book in this trilogy, and am so excited that it's now complete. I wasn't able to read Steel Tide when it first came out and then decided to hold off on reading when I finally had the time because Stormbreak was scheduled to come out just a few months later. Then, presumably because of COVID, the release got pushed back to February 2021 and I just kept waiting. Now that it's finally out, I can't wait to binge this trilogy and finally see how it ends!

The last two books I picked up (outside of my textbooks) were two different editions of A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas. The first is just the regular hardcover edition that I've been annotating and tabbing and the second is the Barnes & Noble Exclusive edition that I will be painting the edges on. I did read this book at the beginning of March and absolutely loved it. I'm quite excited to have a bunch of different editions coming my way and I can't wait, again, to have shelves to display them on in the future! Stay tuned for a review on this one later in March!

Well, those are all of the physical books that I picked up in February. I anticipate my March haul being significantly smaller, but who knows? What books did you get in February? Let me know in the comments below!

Thanks for reading!
xoxo

My Favorite Books of 2018!

It's insane that 2018 is already finished. I was so looking forward to this year and all of the amazing releases and to think that it's over and I'm looking towards 2019 now is just insane. I read so many wonderful books, found new favorites, and reread some old favorites. I read 100 books in 2018, but I narrowed my favorites list down to my top ten! For this list, I decided to group books of a series together or else there could have been books from the same series taking up half of the list. I also excluded rereads from this list, even if I loved revisiting the stories.

It was actually really hard to rank these after I got past my number one, so while they are ranked numerically, most of them could be interchanged at some point! So, without further ado, here are my top ten books and series from 2018!

At number ten, we have Seafire by Natalie C. Parker. This wasn't really a book I knew much about until about a month or so prior to its release when I was able to get an e-arc of it. Let me just say, this book took me by surprise! I fell deep in love with the story and characters from page one and I ended up binge-reading it in a day. I cannot wait for the second book coming out hopefully next year! You can find my full, spoiler-free review of this book here :)

At number nine, we have the most recent and final releases in the Curse of the Gods series, Strength  (book 4) and Pain (book 5) by Jaymin Eve & Jane Washington. This is one of my favorite RH series and I just loved how the story wrapped up. I wish I could get more of these characters but I'm also happy with how the authors wrapped the plot and conflict up. For my non-spoiler review of book 4, go here, and for my non-spoiler review of book 5, go here

For number eight, I decided upon Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. This was the incredible finale to the Illuminae Files trilogy. This is one of my favorite sci-fi series that I've ever read and it's so bittersweet to see it come to an end. This book also really, really scared me. Although, I did accidentally (and stupidly) spoil a part of it for myself so one of the big plot twists wasn't as impactful for me. For my full, non-spoiler review, go here

Coming in at number seven, we have Furyborn by Claire Legrand. I was really anticipating Furyborn and it ended up being such an amazing read. I already cannot wait to reread it and see what I've forgotten or missed on the first time around. It was such a surprising fantasy read and I cannot wait for the sequel in 2019! For my full, non-spoiler review, go here :)

At number six, I chose Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young. It feels like I read this forever ago since I was lucky enough to get an advanced reader's copy, but this book has stuck with me all year. Whenever I see someone mention it, I get so excited. And while this book seems to stay in the back of my brain, when I was going through what I'd read this year, this one popped right out as one of my favorites. It was a surprising and fun, short fantasy that really hit its mark. You can find my full, non-spoiler book review here!

At number five, in a last minute read, we have Internment by Samira Ahmed. I just finished this book moments ago and I knew I had to adjust my favorites list to include this one. This book was hard. It was so hard to read. It was so much more real to life than anything else I read this year. I am heartbroken, I am angered, I am inspired. This book challenges you to read the horrors that have occurred in our [America's] past and no doubt are occurring right now in our very country and then do something about it. I am not the same as when I went into this book. Review here

For number four, I went with Truthwitch by Susan Dennard. This was a last-minute read of 2018 and I absolutely loved it. The more and more I think about this book, the more I just want to escape back into this world and these characters. I cannot believe it took me so long to finally read this book yet I'm so glad I finally did! You can find my spoiler free review here :)

At number three, we have all three books in the To All The Boys I've Loved Before trilogy by Jenny Han, which includes the first book by that same name, P.S. I Still Love You, and Always and Forever, Lara Jean. I can't decide if I like the first or second book the most, but all three were so cute and binge-able. I ended up falling in love with this trilogy and the movie back in August and I'm so glad to have finally read it, even though I'm questioning why I waited so long to read them! You can find here my non-spoiler reviews of book one, book two, and book three

For number two, we have A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas. I think the reason I enjoyed this book so much more than a lot of people did was that I went into this book expecting it to be exactly how it was. I expected it to be a short, holiday-themed story where nothing happened except the characters all being together. In fact, more things happened than what I expected. But I just found this a cute, fun little read that was a great bridge book between ACOWAR and the next book coming out! You can find my non-spoiler review here.

And finally, at the top spot of number one, is Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas, a pick that no-doubt surprises no one. This was the final novel in my favorite series that released this year and it was such an amazing ending, in my opinion. Do I think there were things that could have been done differently to make it better? Yes. But did I absolutely love it and think that it was an amazing end to the series? Also yes. I'm still working on compiling my spoiler discussion of this book, but you can find my non-spoiler review here!

Well, there you have it! The top 10 books I read in 2018. I can only hope that 2019 brings as great of a reading year as 2018 did. These last few months especially have been excellent reading months and I cannot wait to see how these upcoming ones go!

Thanks for reading! For all of my 2018 wrap-up posts, check them out here.

December 2018 Wrap-Up!

Wow, last wrap-up of 2018. This year flew by and I can only imagine that the same will be true for 2019. This was my best reading month of the year: I read SIXTEEN books in December! Or rather, I finished sixteen. In terms of what I read, some of it was for school but a lot of it was books I chose on my own. Most of the ones I chose for myself I ended up really enjoying or even loving. I also had to edit my favorite books of 2018 list TWICE due to books I read toward the end of this month. On top of that, I was pretty good with posting on my blog and I also watched quite a few TV shows and movies. This could be attributed to winter break, but I also had finals until the 21st so I didn't have that much of winter break in December as most of it will be in January. Anyway, we have a lot to talk about so, without further ado, here is my wrap-up for December 2018.

BOOKS READ
1.
Title: Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
Author: Unknown
Rating: 3 // 5 stars
It was pretty good, I guess. I enjoyed it a lot more than all the other books we've been reading recently in my lit class, but it wasn't amazing or anything. There was a plot twist I didn't see coming but overall, I quite enjoyed this compared to others we've read in this class. Most of the time, though, I couldn't stop thinking about the TV show Merlin

2.
Title: Her Three Rangers
Author: Roma James
Rating: 2 // 5 stars
It was alright, but not great. I think for me what lacked was how fast it moved inside of a such a short story. While I'm sure there were scenes of the characters getting to know each other and it's possible to develop a relationship in this amount of time, we didn't get to see the relationships develop really at all. It seemed very insta-lovey to me and a bit one dimensional. The steamy scenes also weren't that great, if I'm being honest. They were short and lacked...steaminess. I did enjoy the story and read it in one sitting, but I wish it had been longer and more developed.

3.
Title: Jackaby
Author: William Ritter
Rating: 3.5 // 5 stars
Review

4.
Title: Strength
Author: Jaymin Eve & Jane Washington
Rating: 5 // 5 stars
Review
Rereading this book was as much fun the second time around as the first. Let me just tell you, this book is such a great addition to the series and I made me fall in love with these characters even more. Willa is my spirit animal and reading this was a godsend during finals week because I was laughing out loud and getting de-stressed while reading this. I'm beyond excited to see how the final two installments of this series go.

5.
Title: Neutral
Author: Jaymin Eve & Jane Washington
Rating: 4 // 5 stars
Review

6.
Title: The Norton Anthology of Western Literature, Volume 1, 9th edition
Edited by: Martin Puchner (et al)
Rating: 3 // 5 stars
I read most of this anthology (over 3/4 of it, so I'm counting it towards my challenge) for class and it was alright. Some stories were pretty interesting and others were the most boring stories I'd ever read. Of course, I was being forced to read this for my class so that could have impacted my reading experience. Over all, you can't really rate an anthology well when there's so many stories in it because each story leaves a different impression with the reader, hence why I decided to go with a neutral rating.

7.
Title: Social Psychology: 10th Edition
Authors: Aronson, Wilson, & Sommers
Rating: 4 // 5 stars
I read this book over the course of a semester for my Social Psychology class and I felt that it was quite informative and added a lot to my learning experience. Over all, what I learned from this class and this book will stay with me long after my final exams are over and I know I'll use this new knowledge when approaching many different situations in my everyday life.

8.
Title: Pain
Authors: Jaymin Eve & Jane Washington
Rating: 5 // 5 stars
Review

9.
Title: Forged Decisions
Author: Katherine McIntyre
Rating: 3.5 // 5 stars
Review

10.
Title: One Apocalypse
Author: Kristy Cunning
Rating: 4 // 5 stars
I thought this was a pretty good resolution to the story. It didn't happen exactly like I wanted it to, but what I wanted was also less realistic within the parameters of the stories and characters. I also definitely liked it a lot more than the third book. This one was easier to follow and the plot was well-executed. Also, the smut was on par and I really enjoyed it. I just wish it had been slightly longer so I could have had more of these characters.

11.
Title: Truthwitch
Author: Susan Dennard
Rating: 5 // 5 stars

12.
Title: A Court of Frost and Starlight
Author: Sarah J. Maas
Rating: 5 // 5 stars
Review
Rereading this book was so fun at the holiday season. I knew from when I first read this book back in May that I wanted to reread it at the holidays. Since this book largely revolves around Solstice-Time and there are a lot of festivities in this novella, I had such a fun time reading it while having my own Christmas celebrations. Plus, just revisiting these characters was like going home.

13.
Title: One Hundred Breaths Later
Author: Hayley Stumbo
Rating: 4.5 // 5 stars
Review
Rereading this was fun and I was instantly sucked back into Hayley's strong poetry. I connected with a lot of these poems and I found that a lot of them were even more powerful the third time around than when I first read them!

14.
Title: Lady Midnight
Author: Cassandra Clare
Rating: 5 // 5 stars
Review
Rereading this book was definitely an experience. It's been so long since I read this book for the first time (two and a half years) that I didn't remember most of what happened. Sure, I remembered the ending and a few events but, overall, this was like reading a new book that you already know what happens. It was fun and, oh gosh, I love the Blackthorns so freaking much. And Emma...oh my god. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book, though I've been told that it will break my heart.

15.
Title: The Darkness We Crave
Author: Katie May
Rating: 3.5 // 5 stars
This book was hilarious and fast paced and also a bit heartbreaking. Quite a bit happens in this book but I also felt as if it happened so fast that I finished it almost as soon as I started it. I  really enjoyed the main character. She's hilarious and has no filter yet is pretty freaking strong to survive all of the shit that comes her way. I'm definitely super excited to see how she and the others progress in the next book. I also think it's great to see the end of the world actually happening, versus all of the post-apocalyptic books that we get where we're just told the world as we know it is over. I'm interested in seeing how that plays a role in how the character relationships develop in the next book. Overall, a fun book but trigger warnings for gore/murder, abuse, self-harm, etc.

16.
Title: Internment
Author: Samira Ahmed
Rating: 5 // 5 stars

POSTS

TV/MOVIES

I finished season 2 of Covert Affairs and ended up binging season 3 pretty quickly after that. I'm currently working through season 4 and things have definitely gotten intense.

I also finished watching season 2 of Big Time Rush. One of my friends and I have been watching this show together and it's been so fun. Sadly, she's studying abroad next semester but I'm sure we'll figure something out.

Then my friends and I watched The Holiday Calendar, a new Christmas movie on Netflix. It was super cute and definitely helped get me in the holiday mood.

When I was procrastinating, I decided to start watching Shadowhunters and I finished the first season. I'm also currently working on the second but have prioritized this break for reading, not TV. I'm enjoying it as long as I keep my idea of the show separate of how the books actually go.

The first movie my family and I watched when I got home from break was Office Christmas Party, a hilarious comedy about an out-of-control Christmas party at a business. It was so funny and I think it was definitely an interesting spin on traditional holiday movies.

Then we watched The Spy Who Dumped Me and holy shit you guys, this movie was hilarious. I was dying pretty much the entire movie and I am definitely going to watch it again. From the first time I saw the trailer, I knew I was going to love this movie and it didn't disappoint.

Lastly, I watched Blockers, which was pretty funny but not as much as The Spy. I can only say that it had it's super memorable moments and I would definitely be pissed if my parents pulled what the parents in this movie did.

Thanks for reading!
xoxo

May 2018 Book Haul!

So...I got a lot of books this month...37 to be exact. I'm super excited about all the books I got this month and I can't wait to share them with you all. First, though, I just want to say that I didn't buy all of these books. In fact, I didn't pay for 20 of these, and I used gift cards on 4 of these as well. It's not like I went absolutely overboard on buying these, and I'll explain a little bit in depth about each books as we go on. Let's just jump right in because we have a lot of books to talk about!

Starting off with the physical books this month, I got 26 of them. Most of these were either free, I used a gift card, or I got at a very discounted price at my local used bookstore. Nonetheless, I'm super excited to have these in my hands.

Firstly, I got two copies of A Court of Frost and Starlight in addition to the one I got last month. These two copies were the exclusive edition from Books-A-Million and a signed and personalized copy from Good Choice Reading. I'm very excited to have these in my hands because I absolutely love Sarah's writing and this series. It is my goal to have at least one of my multiple copies of each book by her to be signed. I already read this book as well and you can find my review here. Below you can find the fan-art that was included in the exclusive edition!

The next book I got was Just One Day by Gayle Forman. I got this book through a promotion from Penguin Random House. Essentially, you could either preorder her newest book and submit proof of that or you could mail a postcard in and get a free book. I mailed a post card in and chose Just One Day as my free book because the other option was If I Stay, which I already own. I don't know when/if I'll get to this book but I am excited to add it to my collection.

The next book I received was from Razorbill through a BookishFirst promotion. It was an arc of Lies You Never Told Me by Jennifer Donaldson. This is a YA thriller/suspense novel set in a high school in Texas. I have already read it and you can find my review here. I have also traded this book on Twitter for a different arc already, but I still wanted to include it in this haul.

The next two books I have are from a trip to my local used bookstore. The first one is Into the Wild and the second is Fire and Ice, both by Erin Hunter. Erin Hunter is actually a pen name for a plethora of authors writing these stories. These are the first two books in one of the first book series I ever read: Warriors. These books helped me form a lot of friendships with people when I was younger and I still remember being 8 years old and acting out scenes from the book with my friends at summer camp. I was able to get these really cheap from my used bookstore because they run a system where if you bring in books that they don't have multiple copies of already, you can get in-store credit that can be used for up to 50% off of your order.

The same system was used in purchasing this next book: an arc of Blood for Blood by Ryan Graudin. Now, before I get crucified for purchasing an arc, I do want to talk about my personal policies on buying/selling arcs. Firstly, I didn't know this was an arc until I got home and saw that it was more than just a paperback, so I am going to claim ignorance on this. Secondly, my buying this used arc is not taking away from sales to the author. I plan on buying the hardcover at some point because I have the first book in HC. As with any used book sold at a secondhand store, the author does not make a additional profit apart from the initial sale of the book, so Ryan Graudin would not have made a profit from this book even if it wasn't an arc. Also, this book has been out for at least a year and a half and I feel like that is enough time to publicize it and make profits off of it. At this point, it is more of a collector's item than a publicity tool. I just wanted to throw those points out there to justify me purchasing this arc on accident. However, if a book has not been out for more than a year, I do not personally buy an arc of that book, and if a book is not published at all, I do not support buying an arc under any circumstances. Thank you for listening to this rant before I got into my thoughts on this book. I really think I'm going to like the first one, so I wanted to have the second one on backup for when I finish the first.

The next book I got was my signed preorder of Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young from Good Choice Reading. I knew that when I read Sky at the end of March/beginning of April that I was going to love it. After finishing the book, I knew I had to jump on the chance to get a personalized copy because I don't know if/when Adrienne will be on tour near me. If you want to know my thoughts on this book, you can find my review here.

The next book I got was from the Fierce Reads tour and it was The Outcast by Taran Matharu.  was able to bring my other Taran books as well to get signed and now I have 4 hardcovers and 1 arc signed by him. It was really an amazing experience and you can find more of my thoughts as well as pictures in this post.
The next book I got at the Fierce Reads tour was I Believe in a Thing Called Love by Maurene Goo. Let me just start by saying that Maurene is such a gem and I can't wait to read this book. Really all I know about it at this point is that it involves k-dramas  and romance. I'm excited to possibly read this book this summer while I'm laying out by the pool!

The next five books I have are all from a dear friend of mine. She was moving and had to get rid of books, but didn't want to give them to our local used bookstore because they only offer in-store credit and she wouldn't be able to use them again. So she gave me a bunch and one of my other friends a bunch and I'm so grateful for her amazingness. The first book she gave me was the B&N edition of One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake. I haven't read the first book in this trilogy, but I have been wanting to for a while and I'm glad to have this in my hands for when I finally do.

The second book she gave me was The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine. I've seen a lot about this book since it was released a while ago and I've always held somewhat of an interest in it, but not enough to prioritize buying it over something else. Therefore, I'm, again, super grateful that my friend gave it to me so that I can finally see what the hype is about.

The third book she gave me was Beyonders: A World Without Heroes by Brandon Mull. I love Brandon's Fablehaven series and I've been interested in this one for a while now but haven't taken the plunge yet. So I obviously was very excited to see this book in the stack of ones she was willing to giveaway.

The fourth book I got from her was Fang by James Patterson. I have been wanting to reread and continue on with the Maximum Ride series for a while now and I am grateful to have this book in my hands when I decide to do so!

The last book she gave me was Every Day by David Levithan. The only thing I know about this book was that it was recently turned into a movie and is about a character who wakes up in a different body every day. It sounds interesting and I think it could be a good read, so maybe I'll get to it this summer.

The next book I got was sent to me by Smith Publicity and that is a copy of Red Agenda by Cameron Poe. I don't know much about this book other than it's a historical/political suspense novel, which I've actually never read before. I'm interested in the premise, though, and thought I'd give this book a shot!

The next two books are, again, from my local used bookstore. I used the same credit system to purchase these as well, so it was a really cheap trip for me. The first one that I got was Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins. This book has been on my wishlist for years now after one of my high-school friends recommended it to me. I don't know much about it other than there are some form of angels? I've been interested in reading it for a while now, though, so I'm excited to have it in my hands. Hopefully I'll get to it soon.

The second book I got at my used bookstore on that trip was The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin. I have the first book in this trilogy and I've heard nothing but amazing things, so when I saw this hardcover in almost pristine condition, I knew I couldn't pass it up for only $5. Plus, when I got home, I saw that it was signed and the deal was even better then.

The next book I got was an arc of Widows by Lynda La Plante that was sent to me by the publisher. It's interesting because this book has been out in the UK for 35 years but is only just now releasing this summer in the US. Either way, I love the cover and the premise sounds super interesting so I will definitely be giving this book a good read through this summer, most likely while sitting by the pool.

After that, I got some surprise book mail! I had won a giveaway for a tank top in a reader's group that I'm in on Facebook. I totally forgot about it and when it showed up, there was actually more in the package than just the t-shirt. The note that accompanied it apologized for the delay and said that the author threw in a few extra goodies, which was just so thoughtful and amazing. The book was one of the extra goodies along with a bunch of signed swag. Anyway, the book that I got from the author was a signed copy of Trickery by Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington. I had this book already so I decided to give my unsigned copy to a friend and keep this one for myself. I've been dying to get my hands on a signed copy and it was such a pleasant surprise when this showed up!

Next, I have three books that my grandma bought me from Books-A-Million. I'm so grateful to have such an amazing grandma and I'm beyond excited for the books that I got. The first one I got was Batman: Nightwalker by Marie Lu. This is the second in the DC Icons series and I figured that I needed to get this one before the third. Plus, I wanted to make sure I had the edition with the poster so that I could make the mega-poster when the rest of the books get published. I can't wait to read this book and the cover is just stunning!

The second book she got me was The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. I've heard nothing but amazing things from Lauren over at dontbrekkarmyheart on Instagram. She raves about it all the time and after seeing how much she loves it, I had been dying to get my hands on a copy. I was thrilled when they had it at the bookstore. While I also want to read Circe, I want to read this one more and I didn't want to overload my haul pile.

And the last book my grandma got me was LIFEL1K3 by Jay Kristoff. I realized after we left the bookstore that the book wasn't actually supposed to go on sale until May 29th, so I do feel a little bad for buying it before on-sale. However, I've been dying to get my hands on this book and I wasn't going to be able to get it until July otherwise. I can't wait to read this in the upcoming month and I just know that I'm going to love it!
The next book I got was from an arc trade on Twitter, and that was Escaping From Houdini by Kerri Maniscalco. This is probably one of the most exciting books in this entire haul because of how long I've been actively trying to get my hands on it! I was finally able to find someone who was willing to trade it with me! It's so gorgeous and I can't wait to read it!

Then I finally got my finished copy of Furyborn by Claire Legrand from Books of Wonder. It was a week after publication date when I finally got it, but as I had already read the book, it wasn't as bad of a wait. Still, I'm ecstatic to finally have this finished book in my hands! It's so gorgeous and I was able to get a signed copy through BOW! You can also find my review here!

The final (physical) book I got this month was Rise of the Superheroes by David Tosh. This was one that I got from BookishFirst to review and I think that it's pretty cool. I'm not sure that it's 100% my thing but it is a nice book that I'm interested to flip through sometime.

That was all 26 physical books I got this month! Now onto the ebooks!

I got 7 ebooks this month, and five of them were a part of a box set. All in all, I paid under $6 for all of these which is pretty good considering how many I got.

The first ebook that I got this month was When Evil Comes to Play by B.L. Brunnemer. This is the 5th book in the Veil Diaries series that I absolutely adore. I read this book almost immediately and fell in love. It was such a good installment in the series and just made me that much more excited for the next one!

The second ebook I picked up was an arc of The Art of Escaping by Erin Callahan. I honestly forgot what this book was about but I know that it had an interesting synopsis. I was provided this arc by BookishFirst and I'll be reading and reviewing it very soon!

Lastly, I picked up a 5-book bundle by C.L. Stone of the first four books in the Ghost Bird series and a novella. I love this series and, while I've read all the books and own a few of them already, the books on their own are about $5 each but this bundle was only $0.99 so I knew that I had to get it so that I could have the two books I didn't already have without having to spend $10.

I also got 4 audiobooks this month. I'm on an Audible discount for three months and I had credits to use. Then my friend wanted two audiobooks and we share an account, so we got two more on top of the first two. I actually still have a credit to spend so if you have any recommendations on what to get, let me know in the comments below!

I also picked up the A Court of Frost and Starlight audiobook. I love Sarah's novels and I own all of them in audiobook format. Plus, this one is shorter than the rest so it was already a lot cheaper, and I ended up preordering it during a 60% off sale. In the end, it ended up being cheaper than the actual book. I can't wait to listen to this audiobook and cry a lot.

Then I used my Audible credit this month to get Furyborn by Claire Legrand in audiobook. I loved this book so much and when I heard the sneak preview of the audiobook, I knew that I had to have it. The narrator sounds amazing and I can't wait to hear Simon's parts!

The first audiobook my friend wanted was When to Fear the Living by B.L. Brunnemer. I've had this book on my wishlist for a very long time and I'm thrilled to finally add it to our collection. This is one of my favorite book series and I can't wait to listen to the audiobook!

The last audiobook I got was, again, what my friend wanted and it was Whispers from the Dead by B.L. Brunnemer, the next book after When to Fear the Living. I'm, again, thrilled to add it to our collection and I can't wait to listen to it!

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed this haul! Stay tuned for some awesome content coming later this month! Also, if there's anything you'd like to see me discuss or talk about, let me know in the comments below!
